AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented Inspector - Civil (Roads) to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be a key member of our infrastructure projects, responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of road construction activities according to project specifications and local regulations.
What You'll Do
- Conduct thorough inspections of road construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, contract documents, and health and safety standards.
- Supervise and coordinate with contractors to ensure compliance with project requirements and timelines.
- Prepare detailed daily reports on work progress, material deliveries, and inspection findings for the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
- Perform site measurements and surveying checks for pipe alignments and levels as required.
- Collaborate with the project team to identify and resolve site issues promptly.
- Monitor and maintain records of contractor resources, equipment usage, and material testing.
- Assist in the preparation of project-related correspondence and documentation.
- Participate in client inspections and coordinate with project stakeholders.
- Oversee the start-up, commissioning, and handover processes of site works.
- Conduct audits to ensure conformity with contract documents and contractor-submitted plans.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in road and infrastructure projects.
- At least 3 years of experience in the UAE.
- In-depth knowledge of construction contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of health and safety measures in construction environments.
- Proficiency in site supervision, inspection techniques, and quality control procedures.
- Experience with site measurements and basic surveying checks.
Nice to Have
- RTA (Roads and Transport Authority) approval.
