About the Role

Farmers Insurance is hiring an Inside Territory Manager to drive profitable growth within an assigned portfolio of Foremost Independent Agencies. You will serve as the primary relationship link between the agency and the company, developing partnerships to achieve financial and operational goals.

What You'll Do

  • Own and manage assigned portfolio driving profitable growth to achieve financial and operational targets.
  • Assist in developing and executing territory tactical plan and agency management processes.
  • Build and cultivate mutually beneficial agency partnerships with agency ownership, management, and frontline staff using a consultative sales framework.
  • Establish position as a trusted advisor while delivering product, underwriting philosophy, appetite, and system training to support retention and new business development.
  • Create, maintain, and execute high quality agency strategies and plans, including holding agents accountable, to achieve written premium, profit, and new business goals.
  • Coordinate plans with field distribution partners to align with key business strategies.
  • Drive and ensure quality of new business flow, appropriate mix of business, and overall risk management of both individual agency books and overall assigned portfolio.
  • Strategically utilize internal reporting and tools designed to support the Independent Agent channel.

What We're Looking For

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum three years of experience in insurance distribution.
  • Experience achieving profitable premium growth and sales success.

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • State insurance license.

Team & Environment

You will be an individual contributor who receives moderate guidance and direction from management and field distribution partners.

  • Compensation varies by location: HI/IL/MN/VT/MA: $67,950 - $113,520; DC/NJ/NY/OH: $67,950 - $123,090; Albany County, NY/Cleveland, OH: $72,300 - $106,040.

This is a hybrid position based in the following locations: US - KY, US - MA, US - ME, US - NH, US - NY, US - PA, US - VA, US - VT, US - WV.
