Shape sales strategy across key Latin American markets in a role that blends customer engagement with strategic insight. As an Inside Sales Representative, you’ll focus on expanding Illumina’s footprint in Mexico and Colombia by cultivating relationships with both new and established accounts. Your efforts will center on understanding customer needs, presenting integrated solutions, and aligning with channel partners and territory managers to achieve consistent revenue growth.
What You’ll Do
- Drive customer acquisition and account expansion through proactive outreach and consultative engagement
- Sell a full range of products and services, including consumables, capital equipment, and professional support offerings
- Collaborate with field teams and internal stakeholders to align on customer strategies and close deals effectively
- Use data and customer insights to guide decision-making and tailor solutions to specific needs
- Support post-sale relationships to ensure long-term satisfaction and continued business development
- Adapt quickly from each interaction to improve future sales outcomes
What We’re Looking For
- Fluency in both English and Spanish
- Background in life sciences, with at least two years of experience in a lab, sales, or customer-facing role
- Solid understanding of genetics and molecular biology principles
- Ability to deliver clear, confident presentations to diverse audiences
- Self-driven mindset with a commitment to continuous learning
- Strong teamwork orientation, with a willingness to exchange feedback and support peers
- Results-focused approach, paired with urgency and effective time management
Preferred Expertise
- Proven success in strategic account development
- Familiarity with Next Generation Sequencing and genotyping technologies
- Advanced degree in Biology, Genetics, or a related field
