Cigna Healthcare is looking for a part-time Inpatient Telepharmacist to provide remote clinical pharmacy services for multiple hospitals. This role leverages technology to review medication orders and enhance patient care outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Perform telepharmacy duties as defined in company SOP, reporting to the Regional Manager.
- Provide telepharmacy services for multiple clients using several pharmacy information systems.
- Obtain and maintain multiple state pharmacist licenses.
- Prioritize, assign, and evaluate work for assigned clients.
- Maintain accurate records and document actions, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Understand and interpret laws, regulations, and policies governing pharmacy operations.
- Perform remote order entry, verification, drug verification, and counseling.
- Provide drug information and clinical therapeutic recommendations to clients.
- Counsel patients, nurses, and medical staff on proper medication use.
- Collect and analyze data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations.
- Investigate and resolve medication variances within 48 hours.
- Learn multiple hospital pharmacy information systems.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with medical professionals and patients.
- Develop harmonious professional relationships with clients and staff.
- Work with VPNs, various PIS, automation systems, and basic computer programs.
- Coordinate with Regional Trainer to complete new hire and new client training.
- Strive to achieve and maintain company productivity metrics.
What We're Looking For
- Degree in Pharmacy (B.S Pharmacy or PharmD).
- Valid Arkansas and/or Oklahoma Pharmacist license issued by the State Board of Pharmacy.
- A working knowledge of formulary policies, pharmacy and therapeutics policy and procedures.
- Effective communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated customer service skills.
- Working knowledge of client/server applications.
- Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), Google Drive, internet, and email.

- 2+ years experience in a hospital inpatient setting.
