UASI is hiring a PRN Inpatient Coding Auditor to join our HIM Consulting Division. As part of an award-winning Top Workplace, you'll perform inpatient coding audits and review services remotely from a home office on a PRN basis, helping clients improve accuracy and compliance.

What You'll Do

Perform inpatient coding audit and review services on a variety of Inpatient facility record types for clients.
Identify trends based on audit findings and formulate recommendations for corrective action plans.
Perform necessary research to support findings, including online searches and pulling CMS transmittals and program memorandums.
Provide in-service education to clients on specific coding trends identified, as requested.
Assist in the design and presentation of educational seminars to clients and staff.
Work with other HIM Consulting Division members on senior-level projects such as ICD-10 assessment, development of audit tools, education materials, coding tests, and coding content articles.

What We're Looking For

RHIA, RHIT, or CCS certification.
2-5 years minimum experience performing inpatient facility audits and reviews, in addition to previous coding experience.
Ability to remain impartial and objective in finalizing and presenting audit findings.
Strong computer skills including ability to utilize UASI audit software and transfer files securely in compliance with HIPAA policies.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with confidence on site and via webinar/conference calls.
