Spotify is hiring an Infrastructure Platform Engineer to join our team building and maintaining foundational systems that power developer workflows across the company. You'll work on CLI tooling, automation infrastructure, linting platforms, and integrations trusted by engineers daily. This is a hands-on role involving building new systems, debugging existing ones, and collaborating across teams.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain infrastructure and platform tooling that supports developer workflows
- Collaborate with a multi-functional team to enhance and streamline the developer experience
- Contribute to the standardization and automation of development workflows across various platforms
- Monitor, tackle, and improve system reliability and performance
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response as needed
- Engage in continuous improvement practices to identify and address difficulties in our infrastructure
- Participate in supporting developers through our support channels
What We're Looking For
- Experience with infrastructure, platform engineering, or developer tooling
- Ability to work optimally with AI tools
- Proficiency in scripting and automation, such as Python or Bash
- Comfortable working in the command line
- Experience with CI/CD systems or build tooling
- Curiosity about how things work and an aim to improve them
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive demeanour towards learning
Nice to Have
- Experience with Bazel or similar build systems
- Background in mobile (iOS/Android), web, or backend development
- Experience with mono-repo tooling and workflows
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools
