Bank of New Zealand seeks an Infrastructure Engineer Senior Advisor to define, design, and implement complex, scalable technology architectures that align with business strategy. As a high-level technical leader, you will drive standards, lead cross-functional teams, and provide strategic consultation to improve system reliability, performance, and security.
What You'll Do
- Create and maintain technical roadmaps, blueprints, and standards for complex, large-scale systems.
- Guide development and engineering teams in adopting best practices, modern frameworks, and CI/CD tools.
- Design secure, resilient, and scalable solutions such as microservices and cloud-native applications.
- Act as a subject matter expert, partnering with business teams to translate needs into actionable technical requirements.
- Enforce compliance with architectural standards, manage technical debt, and drive performance improvements.
- Provide guidance to junior architects and engineers to bridge knowledge gaps.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of experience in IT architecture, software design, or infrastructure.
- 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), microservices, API management, and database technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams for positive outcomes.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation: $123,500 - $205,800 USD yearly.
