The Senior DevOps Engineer will collaborate with Assent’s Cloud Operations and Engineering teams to design, develop, and implement CI/CD solutions. This role ensures system quality, reliability, scalability, and security across a global SaaS platform where every commit goes to production.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD systems that support high-frequency, reliable deployments
- Write Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, and manage secure, scalable cloud environments
- Maintain and manage AWS Resources, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
- Work closely with Engineering and Cloud Ops teams to design, implement, and support scalable infrastructure and services
- Improve observability using OpenTelemetry, New Relic, and Kibana
- Provide technical guidance to more junior members of the team
- Develop strategies for scaling infrastructure to accommodate future growth, conducting capacity planning and load testing
- Identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance system performance, reliability, and maintainability
- Ensure systems comply with security best practices and corporate policies
- Establish and maintain development and testing environments
- Create and maintain configurations for all supporting software deployments
- Lead the automation and streamlining of code integration and deployment operations and processes
What We're Looking For
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
- Proficiency with container orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes
- Strong experience with GitHub
- Experience writing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as OpenTelemetry, Datadog, New Relic, and Kibana
- Ability to write testable, reliable, production-ready code
- Full ownership of system quality
- Experience maintaining and managing AWS resources
- Experience with Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible
- Ability to work in a high-trust CI/CD environment where every commit goes to production
