Attentive is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to own the support and reliability of our critical on-premise and virtualized systems. You'll be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and continuity of our infrastructure, executing both routine operations and strategic projects.

What You'll Do

Operate and maintain physical and virtual servers within our data centers.
Manage the VMware virtualization platform (vSphere/ESXi), including VM lifecycle, resource configuration, and updates.
Perform basic administration of Windows Server and Linux (RHEL) systems, including patching and incident troubleshooting.
Support backup, restoration, and disaster recovery coordination and testing.
Participate in war rooms for critical incidents with other technical teams.
Execute planned tasks such as patching, upgrades, configuration changes, and capacity reviews.
Document actions and update knowledge bases to enable recurring task handoff.
Handle rack installation, labeling, and organization of hardware like servers and network devices.
Execute cabling tasks, including labeling, connecting equipment, and verifying physical links.
Coordinate physical interventions in data centers with housing and communications providers.
Maintain physical network diagrams and related documentation.
Ensure compliance with security policies, hardening procedures, and generate control evidence.
Strictly follow ITIL processes for incident, change, problem, and configuration management.
Collaborate in internal and external infrastructure audits.

What We're Looking For

A technical degree in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in an Infrastructure or Systems Engineer role.
Demonstrable experience administering VMware environments (vSphere/ESXi).
Hands-on experience managing Windows and Linux servers in critical environments.
Proven work in physical data centers, including hardware installation, structured cabling, and rack assembly.
Experience with basic switching/routing tasks like VLANs and connectivity troubleshooting.

Nice to Have

Certifications in VMware (VCP, VCTA), Networks (CCNA, JNCIA), or Operating Systems (MCSA/MCSE, RHCSA).
Experience with backup and ransomware protection environments.
Background operating in regulated sectors like banking or telco with strong compliance requirements.
