Water-link is looking for an Industrial Project Manager to lead complex industrial engineering projects from initial concept and design through to implementation, site supervision, and aftercare. You'll manage projects spanning civil engineering, electromechanics, and automation, ensuring perfect execution within timing, scope, and quality. This role sits within our Engineering team and is based in Gent.
What You'll Do
- Design and optimize technical installations based on project objectives and guidelines.
- Create clear, complete specifications and technical descriptions for price requests.
- Prepare projects thoroughly by reviewing or developing plans, schematics, and functional descriptions.
- Guide construction sites and check suppliers and contractors for correct execution.
- Monitor commissioning and aftercare of installations and efficiently resolve technical issues.
- Accurately capture all relevant data and deliver high-quality reporting.
- Make improvement proposals to optimize methods, systems, and processes.
- Provide technical support to designers and colleagues within Operations.
- Take an active role regarding safety, risks, and proposals for HSE improvements.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Electricity, Mechanics, Automation, or Energy.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a designer or in a similar engineering role.
- Strong analytical insight and feel for industrial processes.
- Experience with projects that run over longer periods, from months to years.
- Precision in design, documentation, and data management.
- Strong communication skills and comfort in contact with contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- A mindset focused on safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
