EUSMS gGmbH is looking for a volunteer Grant Manager (~10 hours/week) to lead our global financial resource mobilization. This strategic role sits at the heart of our efforts to identify and secure funding for programs supporting students and communities in East Africa.
What You'll Do
- Identify and prioritize high-potential funding opportunities aligned with our mission.
- Maintain a structured grant tracker using Odoo 18 Community Modules.
- Coordinate data collection (budgets, metrics, testimonials) across teams.
- Lead or support the writing, editing, and tailoring of proposals.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis with donor requirements and EUSMS capabilities, and manage submission protocols.
- Collaborate with the M&E Officer, IT, Program & Operations in E. Africa, CFO and CEO.
- Ensure reporting schedules and obligations are tracked in Odoo.
- Collaborate with the M&E Office to submit interim and final donor reports as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Fluency in English.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with CRM systems (especially Odoo) and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Organizational and project management skills; comfortable managing multiple deadlines.
Nice to Have
- German or Swahili language skills strongly preferred.
- Previous experience with international development or nonprofit grants.
- Ability to do deep web research to find grant portals.

Team & Environment
You’ll join a small team (2–4 volunteers) within our Global Operations, reporting directly to the CFO.
