Oak Street Health, part of CVS Health, is hiring a Hybrid-Remote Medical Scribe (Clinic Informatics Specialist) to support our primary care providers in Arizona. You will play a key role in a value-based care model by handling real-time clinical documentation, allowing providers to focus fully on patient care.

What You'll Do

Document patient encounters (~80%): Accompany providers in the exam room, observe visits, and create structured notes including history, assessment, plan, and physical exam. Assign CPT and ICD-10 codes and prepare After Visit Summaries.
Clinical Documentation Improvement (~10%): Request and review medical records, utilize population health tools, and prepare materials for Daily Huddles and Clinical Documentation Reviews.
Administrative support (~10%): Place orders and referrals, address tasks, and assist the care team with clinical documentation responsibilities.

What We're Looking For

Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications from a pre-med degree or prior clinical experience.
Advanced listening and communication skills.
Strong computer literacy and ability to learn new technical workflows quickly.
Ability to adapt to new workflows and learn new concepts.
Willingness to take direction and adapt to a provider's working style as a collaborative team member.
Excellent job attendance and ability to work in-person in clinics.
Commitment to at least 1 year in the role.
Ability to work 40-45 hours per week during clinic hours.
Compliance with hospital and Oak Street Health policies, including HIPAA.
US work authorization.
Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages spoken by communities we serve (where indicated).

Nice to Have

Prior clinical experience, including shadowing or volunteering (strongly preferred).
Prior scribe or transcription experience.
Ability to type 70+ words per minute (strongly preferred).
