About the Role
The technician will diagnose system issues, perform routine maintenance, and ensure HVAC equipment operates efficiently and safely in compliance with industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and troubleshoot HVAC systems to identify performance issues
- Install new heating and cooling units according to manufacturer specifications
- Repair malfunctioning components such as compressors, thermostats, and motors
- Perform routine maintenance on existing systems to ensure optimal function
- Use diagnostic tools to assess refrigerant levels and electrical systems
- Follow safety protocols when handling high-voltage equipment and refrigerants
- Document service activities and provide reports after each job
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls
- Communicate technical details clearly to customers
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and environmental regulations
- Replace outdated equipment with energy-efficient models
- Collaborate with team members on complex installations
- Maintain inventory of tools and replacement parts
- Adhere to scheduled service appointments
- Provide recommendations for system improvements
