The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining smooth and compliant HR operations within the College of Education and Human Development. This position oversees end-to-end recruitment processes for faculty and staff, including managing searches in Page Up, coordinating with search committees, and ensuring all hiring activities follow university and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage recruitment lifecycle tasks including position description updates, applicant tracking, and search closeouts
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding for all employee types, including graduate assistants and wage employees funded through E&G or sponsored programs
- Facilitate exit interviews in coordination with HR leadership and academic administrators
- Prepare offer letters, process contracts, and ensure completion of required documentation such as I-9 verification
- Submit and route Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs) and Dynamic Forms for personnel transactions
- Maintain accurate digital records and ensure secure handling of confidential HR data
- Support adjunct hiring by verifying eligibility and compliance with institutional and accreditation requirements
- Generate semester-end reports detailing salary, wage, and tuition waiver expenditures with budget account details
- Assist with professional development requests, recognition programs, and special projects as assigned
- Approve timesheets for 12-month instructional faculty on behalf of the Dean
Qualifications
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent plus professional experience in human resources or administrative operations. Experience should include managing hiring workflows, interpreting employment regulations, and supporting diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion are essential. Knowledge of FLSA, FERPA, and HR documentation practices is required.
Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, experience in higher education HR, familiarity with academic hiring cycles, and advanced data management skills. Experience with PageUp, EPAF, Dynamic Forms, or similar university systems is advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a record of managing complex HR processes and contributing to process improvements.
