Penn State is looking for a Human Research Technologist to execute research protocols in support of clinical trials, studies, and projects at the Center for Healthy Aging. You will play a key role in advancing research on healthy aging within a respected university environment.
What You'll Do
- Execute research protocols in support of clinical research trials, studies, and projects.
- Design data collection instruments and implement data collection procedures.
- Perform data analysis and prepare reports and research publications.
- Recruit, inform, and schedule subjects/participants for studies; maintain subject/participant records.
- Oversee and monitor laboratory research procedures and recordings involving human subjects to ensure quality control.
- Coordinate and review laboratory equipment and supplies to ensure availability for studies.
- Document all data variables at all levels of analysis (raw, scored) via Markdown and other systems (Excel, Word, PDF).
- Prepare regulatory materials for new projects; address regulatory feedback in conjunction with PIs; manage IRB closeout.
- Read literature and select instruments for battery to cover a comprehensive set of topics.
- Assist in preparing datasets; write results for publication; coordinate manuscript submission procedures.
- Contribute to team meetings to evaluate progress of writing projects and future directions; integrate and accept feedback from team members.
- Conduct routine check-ins with data collection teams to understand capacity, needs, and issues.
- Conduct routine check-ins against data collected to ensure high data quality.
What We're Looking For
- Associate Degree
- No prior relevant work experience required; previous relevant work experience accepted in lieu of education.
