Vantage Data Centers is hiring a remote HRIS Project Manager to own the optimization and scaling of the global People & Culture technology ecosystem for North America. Reporting to the Senior Director of People Operations, you will lead the full project lifecycle for People systems, ensuring they support our growing organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of People systems projects, including system upgrades, implementations, optimizations, and integrations.
- Define project scope, timelines, milestones, risks, dependencies, and success measures.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues such as scope creep, resource constraints, or technical bugs.
- Partner with Workday module owners and the broader P&C team to identify workflow inefficiencies and lead automated solutions.
- Develop the project management function by creating standard procedures and project guidelines.
- Implement best practices of project management through activities like Lessons Learned Sessions.
- Act as the primary liaison between the people systems team and internal or external stakeholders, managing expectations.
- Lead internal project team calls, identifying, prioritizing, and escalating as needed across multiple workstreams.
- Develop training materials and communication plans to drive user adoption of new system features.
- Provide status updates, project documentation, and post-project knowledge transfer sessions.
- Establish and maintain People systems project governance frameworks, including documentation standards and risk management.
- Lead road mapping activities and planning for the People systems team.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of project management experience specifically within HR Information Systems.
- Proven experience managing projects from initiation through completion.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, risks, and deliverables.
- Working knowledge of People system platforms and core IT concepts.
- Understanding of P&C data structures, system architecture, and reporting analytics.
- Experience with a project management tool.
- Ability to translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
- Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Travel required is expected to be up to 10% but may increase over time.
Nice to Have
- Workday experience highly preferred.
- Certification in a project management field of study is preferred.
