Side is looking for an HR Specialist to provide expert support across a range of HR functions. This remote role within Romania works closely with managers and employees to ensure HR policies and practices are implemented consistently, supporting business objectives and a positive work environment.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the main point of contact for employee and manager HR queries, ensuring fair and consistent policy application.
  • Manage employee relations cases including grievances, disciplinary actions, and performance issues.
  • Support end-to-end recruitment and prepare all employment documentation.
  • Oversee onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and positive new starter experience.
  • Assist with performance management cycles and advise managers on development plans.
  • Coordinate training needs analysis and learning initiatives.
  • Process accurate and timely payroll while maintaining up-to-date employee records.
  • Ensure full compliance with tax, legal, and audit requirements.
  • Administer employee benefits and maintain accurate HR and compensation data.
  • Support updates to employee records and related documentation.
  • Maintain HR systems, key employment processes, and required documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local employment laws and support reporting needs.
  • Contribute to HR projects, including policy reviews, engagement activities, and D&I initiatives.
  • Support HR reporting and data analysis to inform business decisions.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5 years’ experience in HR administration, HR operations, or generalist roles.
  • Hands-on experience with Revisal, labour authority communication, and working with payroll providers or internal payroll teams.
  • Strong understanding of the Romanian Labour Code, GDPR, and employment documentation.
  • Familiarity with HRIS and payroll systems, Romanian benefits legislation, and solid MS Office skills.
  • Fluency in Romanian and English is a must (written and spoken).
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation, and time-management abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, discretion in handling confidential information, and a proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Customer-oriented mindset when supporting employees and managers.
