At DHL, where our people are our greatest asset, we are looking for an HR Manager to provide human resources leadership and support across multiple Distribution Centers. This role is responsible for ensuring consistent application of policies and serving as a key liaison with internal departments and temporary agencies.
What You'll Do
- Manage policies, processes, and practices related to recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, benefits, performance management, and workforce planning.
- Lead the department in the development, implementation, coordination, and evaluation of HR-related processes.
- Ensure compliance with employment-related law.
- Engage and manage temporary agencies to ensure the fulfillment of open positions and audit agency compliance.
- Manage Human Resources Business Partners with responsibility for recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, compensation, training, EEO/AA, records, safety and health, benefits, and employee services.
- Conduct research into human resource programs and activities and recommend changes or innovations.
- Coordinate, partner, and deliver vendor and/or DHL-developed training courses for employees.
- Manage risk associated with employee relations.
- Hire, coach, train, and develop subordinate staff.
- Assign work, set completion dates, review work, and manage performance in accordance with organizational policies.
- Correspond with Sr. Area HR Manager, HR Director, and Corporate HR to document and assist in resolving employee issues or disciplinary matters.
- Foster and maintain an employer-friendly environment and facilitate effective communication between all levels of employees.
- Investigate and coordinate the resolution of employee issues and conflicts.
- Monitor compliance of various HR-related issues (OSHA, Federal Postings, others) and maintain OSHA log.
- Participate in HR internal audits and recommend necessary adjustments.
- Coordinate the company Employee Opinion survey program and performance improvement programs for the Distribution Center.
What We're Looking For
- 5 years of supervisory experience.
- 8 years of progressive HR experience required, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, timekeeping, and safety, preferably within a warehouse/production environment.
- Able to work several hours at night/early morning at least once per week.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
- High level of confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
- PHR certification.
