Remote is seeking a Hospital Administrator to play a critical role in driving the performance of a veterinary hospital. You will create and maintain a practice environment that facilitates quality, compassionate, and efficient healthcare for animals, overseeing all business and staff aspects of the operation.

- Partner with the Medical Director to create and drive a practice environment for quality and efficient animal healthcare
- Lead the creation and maintenance of a collaborative, high-performing, and positive workplace culture
- Serve as the point person for all day-to-day functions and organize the health services of the hospital
- Assist with strategic business development and operational planning efforts
- Oversee all business-side departments with a focus on financials, growth, and human resources
- Guide the creation of financial strategies to achieve hospital profitability and monitor performance
- Track daily revenue, average invoice amount, number of invoices, and labor costs, preparing performance reports
- Coach, manage, mentor, and train direct report staff, providing continuous performance management and evaluations
- Support staff growth and development by encouraging job-related training
- Participate in recruitment and selection, and provide new hire orientation
- Build relationships with local general practices and community leaders to market the practice
- Work with hospital teams to create marketing programs that support strategic goals
- Manage human resources issues, maintaining knowledge of relevant employment law and ensuring compliance
- Partner with medical teams and oversee doctor and staff schedules
- Manage facilities and equipment maintenance
- Maintain current knowledge and ensure compliance with OSHA, DEA, and other regulatory agencies
What We're Looking For
- AA or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years of experience in overall operations, financial and facilities management, and/or Human Resources
- 2 years of job-specific experience in a hospital management role within the veterinary or human health industry
- Knowledge of state, federal, and local employment and safety laws and regulations
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Ability to lead and manage a department and employees
- Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills
- Strong organizational skills including managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Ability to handle and maintain sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Strong critical thinking, judgement, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt and remain flexible in changing situations and work environments
- Ability to proactively identify issues and formulate solutions

Team & Environment
You will have supervisory responsibility for all team members at the hospital other than doctors. You will work with the Medical Director to co-supervise Medical Support staff.

- Compensation: $60,000 - $70,000 base salary
