Adapt Integrated Health Care is hiring a Healthcare Services Coordinator to be a pivotal part of our patient-centered mission. In this role, you will provide comprehensive support and excellent customer service to patients, families, staff, and the public, serving as an ambassador of our No Wrong Door Approach.
What You'll Do
- Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a welcoming and respectful environment.
- Serve as a No Wrong Door point of contact, helping patients access the most appropriate programs.
- Respond to inquiries in person, via phone, email, and through the MyChart patient portal.
- Conduct daily monitoring and management of appointment schedules, including rescheduling and cancelations.
- Accurately enter or update patient demographics and insurance information in the EMR.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility in the EMR or through online insurance portals.
- Work with the Finance & Billing department to ensure accurate collection of co-pays and account balances.
- Coordinate with internal departments when scheduling appointments to minimize duplication of service.
- Provide clear and accurate messages in the EMR and relay information to appropriate staff.
- Work with the Health Information Management Systems (HIMS) team to send or receive records.
- Participate in relevant meetings and trainings to support team learning.
- Maintain professional interactions with coworkers and programs across the organization.
- Maintain strict compliance with all confidentiality policies to safeguard Protected Health Information (PHI).
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a clerical or administrative role within a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with insurance verification and EPIC systems.
