Vitals is looking for a Head of Product, Shopify Apps to lead product strategy and development for a leading Shopify app used by over 110 million shoppers monthly. In this remote role, you’ll drive product-led growth, manage a product team, and prototype AI-driven solutions within our profitable, bootstrapped startup.
What You'll Do
- Work with leadership to define and evolve the vision for Vitals, balancing merchant needs with long-term growth opportunities.
- Manage and mentor a growing team of Product Managers, ensuring alignment, growth, and high performance.
- Use technical background and AI tools to quickly create prototypes, test them with users, and iterate fast.
- Run weekly customer interviews, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, and identify opportunities to solve real problems at scale.
- Break down complex initiatives, weigh trade-offs, and drive focus on what matters most across 40+ apps in our all-in-one solution.
- Partner closely with technical teams, speaking their language and accelerating delivery through clear, outcome-based thinking.
- Ensure solutions are not just functional but delightful, maintaining Vitals’ reputation as one of the most loved apps in the Shopify ecosystem.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience as a Product Manager in digital products, ideally in e-commerce or SaaS.
- Deep understanding of the Shopify ecosystem – either from building apps or working directly with merchants.
- Hands-on technical experience (software engineering, prototyping, or similar).
- Comfortable using AI tools for prototyping, analysis, and discovery.
- Strong ability to work with data and customer insights to guide prioritization and decision-making.
- Ability to set vision and solve detailed problems.
- Able to clearly express product ideas across teams, with structured writing and storytelling.
- Experience managing and mentoring Product Managers, fostering collaboration, and scaling product teams in a startup environment.
- High energy, bias towards action, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment with limited structure.
Nice to Have
- Prior experience launching or scaling Shopify apps.
- Experience building AI-driven consumer or SaaS products.
- Strong UI/UX sense with the ability to sketch or prototype interfaces.
- Familiarity with Shape Up or other outcome-based product development frameworks.
