Melotech is hiring a Head of Platform: YouTube to ensure our success and scale our presence beyond 100x growth. You will master both the creative and analytical sides, tackling critical questions about successful channels, algorithm changes, and scalable content to maximize virality, watchtime, and revenue.
What You'll Do
- Manage our entire YouTube presence, including content strategy, visual identity, uploading process, audience engagement and performance management
- Craft guidelines to viral titles, descriptions, and thumbnails optimized for discovery and performance
- Design and execute A/B tests to continuously improve our content strategy and channel performance
- Research emerging content formats and trends to identify gaps and develop new video formats
- Monitor subscriber growth, watch time, and revenue while optimizing monetization strategies
- Analyze YouTube Studio insights including retention curves, traffic sources, and CTR patterns
- Collaborate with marketing, engineering and content teams to amplify our strategy
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of hands-on experience scaling YouTube channels for any consumer brand, record label, technology startup or media company
- Proven track record of launching channels from zero and managing high-subscriber properties with substantial revenue generation
- Expert proficiency in YouTube Studio analytics, algorithmic optimization, and complete monetization ecosystem
- Advanced skills in A/B testing, data analysis, and translating audience insights into actionable content strategies
- Self-directed approach combining creative strategy with technical execution and relentless focus on scalable audience building
- You thrive in a fast-paced and performance-oriented environment
