Lead the operational engine of a high-growth People organization by shaping how HR functions scale with complexity. This role oversees five critical teams—Employee Relations, People Governance, People Solutions, Shared Services and Experience, and Invite Operations—ensuring seamless, compliant, and future-ready support for over 3,000 employees.
Strategic Leadership & Operational Excellence
Define the long-term vision for People Central and translate it into actionable plans. Work alongside senior leaders to align direction across functions, building systems that anticipate risk and adapt to growth. Lead through managers—empowering them to own outcomes while developing their capabilities and accountability.
- Own end-to-end compliance across the employee lifecycle, including contractors, immigration, global workforce, and M&A integrations
- Strengthen Employee Relations as an independent, trusted function—reducing reliance on Legal through early intervention and pattern recognition
- Drive policy decisions across diverse stakeholders, balancing practicality with company values
- Shape the HR technology roadmap, making confident build-vs-buy decisions for HRIS, ATS, case management, and integrations
Transformation Through Technology
Champion an automation-first mindset to modernize HR operations. Redesign workflows using AI and self-serve tools to improve efficiency and employee experience. Evolve Shared Services into a scalable support model that empowers employees to find answers independently—without sacrificing quality or care.
Lead recruiting operations with a focus on scale and automation, freeing human interaction for meaningful candidate engagement. Ensure People tech systems are connected, data-rich, and designed for long-term adaptability.
People & Performance Leadership
Build and develop a high-performing leadership team across People Central. Create clear career paths, foster accountability, and cultivate a culture where expertise and ownership thrive. Be responsible for budget, headcount planning, and financial discipline in partnership with Finance and the Head of People.
Bring influence across the organization to turn decisions into action—especially in sensitive employee matters, governance, and post-merger integration. Lead with foresight, making choices that have lasting impact.
Qualifications & Experience
Required: 12+ years in HR with at least 5 years leading large-scale HR operations in fast-growing tech environments. Proven experience managing Employee Relations independently, designing scalable HR processes, and leading through managers. Strong background in employment law, risk management, HR systems strategy, and AI-driven transformation. Demonstrated success in building self-serve models and operational frameworks that scale.
Preferred: Experience with M&A integration, immigration systems, and hands-on implementation of AI or automation in HR.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid model, with 2–3 days per week expected in Denver, San Francisco, New York, or Scottsdale. Remote work is supported where reliable internet is available.
