EMD Serono is hiring a Head of Marketing Metallics to lead our Metallics Marketing Team within the Thin Films business unit. You will serve as the commercial lead responsible for managing the Metallics product portfolio and new product introduction pipeline to achieve key business objectives.
What You'll Do
- Own P&L responsibilities for the Metallics business, achieving objectives for revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Manage all product offerings through supervision of direct reports to maximize profitability and meet business goals.
- Accelerate new product development and introduction through close collaboration with the R&D team, embracing a 'two in a box' model with the Head of Metallics R&D.
- Prioritize new opportunities identified by the customer-facing team.
- Identify new product opportunities through collaboration with strategic customers and OEM development partners.
- Develop a deep understanding of market trends and competitive landscape to define product differentiation and development strategy.
- Create product pricing strategies and maintain pricing discipline to ensure profitable growth for the portfolio.
- Define targets for capacity, cost, and quality for major capital projects.
- Develop analytically derived market plans based on customer inputs, market trends, competitive intelligence, and forecasts.
- Effectively use the portfolio management system to monitor and document project performance versus milestones.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years’ experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Hands-on experience in product management, commercial negotiations, business planning, strategy development, and execution.
- Proven ability to develop business cases and market plans.
Nice to Have
- An advanced degree (Master or Ph.D.) in material science or chemistry.
- An MBA is a plus.
- Strong collaboration, interpersonal, and communication skills, especially across a matrix and global organization.

- Salary range: $170,000 - $200,000.
