Samsung Electronics America, Inc. seeks a Head of Learning & Development to lead the strategy and execution of learning programs that support business objectives. You will partner with senior leadership to identify opportunities and drive initiatives that enhance employee performance and organizational capability.
What You'll Do
- Partner with and consult clients to identify L&D opportunities and create effective solutions.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive L&D plan aligned with organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify skill gaps and design targeted development initiatives.
- Design and deliver innovative training programs using a mix of learning modalities (e.g., in-person, e-learning, workshops).
- Establish metrics to evaluate program impact on employee performance and organizational success.
- Measure, report, and analyze data to optimize training initiatives and demonstrate effectiveness.
- Prioritize budget execution and allocation based on a clear understanding of the business environment.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to align L&D efforts with business needs.
- Communicate the value of L&D programs to leadership and employees.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the L&D team to ensure high performance and foster a collaborative, innovative culture.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in learning technologies and instructional design to enhance program delivery.
- Implement new tools and platforms to improve the learning experience and accessibility.
- Drive organizational change by promoting a culture of learning, adaptability, and continuous development.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in HR, training, or L&D roles.
- Proven track record of managing L&D teams and leading large-scale training initiatives.
- Ability to develop and implement L&D strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Expertise in designing and delivering effective training programs.
- Proficiency in assessing training needs, measuring program effectiveness, and using data to drive improvements.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to introduce new learning technologies and methodologies to enhance training programs.
- Experience in managing change and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs and emerging trends in learning and development.
- Ability to work closely with other departments to align L&D initiatives with broader business objectives.
Nice to Have
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master’s in Education).
- Certified coaching qualification.
- Certifications such as Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP) or Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP).
