ANGEHEUERT GmbH Personalberatung is hiring a Head of Engineering (m/w/d) to lead the entire development organization, reporting directly to the executive board. You will be responsible for ensuring stable product development while driving technological renewal, with a focus on transforming legacy systems to SaaS and AI.
What You'll Do
- Establish an engineering culture with clear responsibility, transparency, and ownership.
- Develop team leads through clear expectations, coaching, and regular feedback.
- Shape the target architecture and steer a step-by-step, realistic modernization from legacy to SaaS & AI.
- Ensure predictable releases across legacy and new platforms.
- Establish clear processes to create stability and transparency.
- Set binding architecture and engineering standards.
- Anchor quality, CI/CD, and security-by-design firmly in the development process.
- Promote the targeted use of AI in engineering and product.
- Work closely with executive management, product, sales, and other stakeholders to connect strategy with implementation.
What We're Looking For
- Negotiation-proficient German and English language skills.
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in an engineering environment.
- Several years of leadership experience in software development, ideally in an ISV context.
- Demonstrable experience in technological transformation projects (Legacy to Cloud/SaaS).
- Deep understanding of software architectures, CI/CD, DevOps, and testing.
- Clear communication, decision-making strength, and high implementation energy.
Nice to Have
- Experience in cyber-security companies.
- Knowledge of multi-tenant architectures.
- Basic understanding of AI/ML applications.
