Berliner Wasserbetriebe is looking for a Head of Decentralized Controlling to lead a dedicated team and manage the financial steering for a key department. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for developing processes, reporting systems, and budget control, ensuring the economic success and efficiency of our operations.

What You'll Do

Lead the decentralized controlling working group with 10 direct reports.
Develop and optimize business processes and workflows.
Take responsibility for a comprehensive information and reporting system.
Manage and control the departmental budget.
Create short-, medium-, and long-term economic planning (including third-party business) for profit and investment, including forecasts, permanent plan controls, and variance analysis.
Handle all commercial transactions for the department (cost centers, order invoicing, monthly and annual closings, offers, calculations, service billing, etc.).
Advise and report to all decision-makers, acting as a navigator to achieve goals and contribute to profitability.

What We're Looking For

A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering with relevant, in-depth knowledge of the role's tasks.
Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Informatics with relevant, in-depth knowledge.
Proven leadership experience.
Deep controlling expertise and strong business management knowledge.
Proficiency in using SAP modules PM, CO, and MM.
Excellent MS Office skills.
Knowledge of the German Commercial Code (HGB), accounting, and procurement methods.
Technical understanding.
Assertiveness, teamwork, a high degree of personal initiative, and a strong sense of responsibility.
