AscendEx is looking for a Head of Compliance to lead our global compliance initiatives and special projects. In this role, you will provide critical oversight and strategic direction to ensure adherence to regulatory standards while enhancing our operational procedures.

What You'll Do

Lead special assignments and compliance-related projects.
Conduct ad-hoc QA checks to support regional teams.
Identify and propose enhancements to compliance procedures and processes.
Collaborate with the team lead and Manager on ongoing assessments and compliance reviews.
Work closely with Account Managers and other key business stakeholders.
Conduct customer risk assessments, periodic reviews, trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
Identify, document, and escalate unusual activity or AML flags.
Participate in internal and external training programs related to AML/CFT and other relevant subjects.

What We're Looking For

8+ years of directly related experience in a compliance role with substantial knowledge of relevant rules and regulations.
Proficiency in English for coordination with overseas partners and stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to write effectively and strong communication skills.
Superior organizational skills and a detail-oriented, investigative mindset.
Proficiency in conducting customer risk assessments, periodic/trigger reviews, and enhanced due diligence.
Good knowledge of provisions of local laws, directives, regulations, and applicable standards.
Proficiency in compliance applications and programs such as World Check or Neterium.
