ticketbro is looking for a Hardware Engineer (f/m/d) to architect and develop our self-checkout terminal. In this role, you will serve as the crucial link between our Go-To-Market and Product/Engineering teams, transforming ideas and user feedback into tangible product improvements.
What You'll Do
- Develop and enhance the ticketbro self-checkout terminal.
- Implement your own ideas and bring feedback from large providers to life.
- Build delightful experiences and features for the self-checkout terminal from end to end.
- Work directly with the terminal and its connected hardware components.
- Bring innovative ideas to the table to shape the product's future.
- Collaborate within the team, empower colleagues, and improve the product collectively.
- Partner with the product team to deeply understand provider challenges, requirements, and business goals.
- Solve challenging technical problems independently by coding features, developing solutions, or fixing bugs.
What We're Looking For
- 2+ years of software development experience with hardware communications (printers, payment devices, scanners) or a strong drive to autonomously explore these technologies.
- 2+ years of software development experience with React.js.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both German and English.
- Interest in communicating directly with providers when required.
- Located in Munich or the vicinity and willing to work from the Munich office for hardware-related tasks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with IoT fleet management software (e.g., Balena).
- Experience using GraphQL as a client.
