Hanover Research is hiring a Content Director to serve as the primary research contact for clients in our Higher Education practice. You will report directly to a Senior Content Director, applying your research expertise to meet complex client needs and build long-term relationships.
What You'll Do
- Identify unique client needs and translate them into well-defined research requests.
- Design customized research projects on various topics for Higher Education clients.
- Appropriately scope and phase complex multi-phase projects to fit our model.
- Manage the execution of education research projects using various methodologies.
- Edit reports for content, structure, and clarity to ensure quality control.
- Communicate and explain our methodologies and findings to clients.
- Collaborate with Account Management to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
- Provide researchers with guidance and constructive feedback on projects.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years of full-time work experience in research, survey design/analysis, or professional writing.
- Strong command of primary, secondary, and quantitative research methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple short and long-term projects under tight deadlines.
- Proven ability to proofread, edit, and provide constructive feedback on research.
- Experience writing and researching for a business or professional audience.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal communication.
- Working knowledge of education trends.
- Desire to work directly with clients to ensure their satisfaction.
- High comfort level with Microsoft Office applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Proven academic and professional achievement.
Nice to Have
- Experience preferably within the education sector.
- A master’s or doctoral degree in Education, Economics, Psychology, Political Science, Sociology, Public Policy, Liberal Arts, or a related discipline.
- At least one year of experience in a management position.
- Applied education research experience.

- Compensation range: $82,971 – $117,182
