About the role The Growth Manager serves as the engine powering our philanthropic efforts, ensuring every Recidiviz supporter receives exceptional service. You'll track and report every donated dollar, provide tailored updates about the impact of supporter contributions, and dive deep into our data, products, and state partnerships to build a knowledge base that elevates our pitches and reports. Your meticulous organizational skills and information synthesis capabilities will enable our team to pursue more philanthropic opportunities and expand our funding success, ultimately supporting the organization's long-term sustainability. Core responsibilities - Own End-to-End Gift Management: Function as the critical operational hub for fundraising and finance. Manage the complete gift-tracking process, coordinating with Finance, meeting all reporting deadlines, and maintaining an accurate, real-time donor pipeline. - Build the Knowledge Base: Create and manage a centralized, accessible resource for Growth materials by proactively exploring data and product updates across the team to document achievements, track product launches, and capture impact metrics. - Support Strategic Pitch Preparation: Provide primary support for senior Growth team members, compiling funder context, gathering necessary materials, and preparing documentation for high-stakes donor meetings and events. - Expand the Donor Pool: Conduct ongoing, proactive research on potential new funders and foundations to continuously broaden our philanthropic opportunities. - Cultivate Donor Relationships: With dedicated mentorship, progressively manage all aspects of donor stewardship, including direct relationship cultivation and pipeline advancement. Wild success A year in, wild success looks like: - Owning the Pipeline End-to-End: Growth team members rely on you to understand the fundraising pipeline's health. You proactively identify gaps and opportunities. Supporting teams receive what they need before requesting it. - Supporters Gain Deeper Insights: Creation of a Gold-Standard Knowledge Hub that you maintain, enabling supporters to learn more frequently and deeply about our work through nuanced beneficiary perspectives. The hub becomes so valuable that other Recidiviz teams begin utilizing it. - Revenue Pipeline Expansion: You start building personal funder relationships, introducing new individuals to our work.
