Crossmedia is hiring a Group Director, Optimization to lead the design, execution, and advancement of optimization strategies at the intersection of analytics and biddable media. This strategic player-coach role unlocks measurable growth for clients by leveraging advanced analytics, machine learning, and proprietary solutions.
What You'll Do
- Define the agency’s optimization vision, aligning with the broader Analytics & Data Science strategy.
- Partner with media planning, biddable media, technology, and product teams to integrate optimization into campaign planning, execution, and measurement.
- Evangelize the role of optimization across the agency and with clients, highlighting its impact on business outcomes.
- Collaborate in the optimization of campaigns across biddable media platforms.
- Apply audience segmentation, bid strategies, pacing, and budget allocation to maximize media efficiency.
- Build and refine testing roadmaps and execute them directly in-platform.
- Leverage predictive modeling, bidding algorithms, and automation in partnership with Data Science to enhance performance.
- Implement and monitor performance guardrails, pacing checks, and anomaly detection to ensure campaigns deliver consistently.
- Integrate attribution solutions and cross-channel measurement to validate and optimize business outcomes.
- Deploy and test proprietary products & solutions, providing feedback for ongoing innovation.
- Serve as a senior point of contact for clients on optimization and performance measurement.
- Translate complex analytics into clear, compelling stories that connect optimization results to client business objectives.
- Present insights that explain what happened, why it matters, and what actions should follow.
- Provide thought leadership on evolving optimization techniques, automation, and industry best practices.
- Mentor and coach optimization and analytics professionals.
- Foster a culture of innovation, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
- Build capabilities to scale optimization across multiple clients and verticals.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in hands-on optimization and analytics within an agency, consultancy, or ad tech environment.
- Proven expertise managing campaigns across programmatic, paid search, paid social, and retail media platforms.
- Advanced skills in bid strategy optimization, audience segmentation, pacing/budget management, and multichannel attribution.
- Hands-on experience with incrementality testing, causal modeling, and advanced measurement frameworks.
- Proficiency with data and visualization tools (SQL, Python/R, Power BI, Tableau, Datorama).
- Familiarity with the ad tech and mar tech ecosystem.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders while remaining executional and detail oriented.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex data into actionable insights and storytelling.
