HERMES MAROQUINERIE-SELLERIE (HMS) is seeking a Graphic Designer to join the team. In this role, you will support the Graphic Designers and the Director of the Graphic Creation Studio in developing creative proposals for special orders and collections. You will be responsible for creating and adapting models, visuals, and drawings for products based on creative briefs, ensuring final files meet Hermès graphic standards.
What You'll Do
- Adapt drawings for Hermès products and create visuals aligned with briefs and specific instructions from Graphic Designers.
- Apply your graphic, creative, and technical expertise to provide precise and appropriate responses to feedback from Graphic Designers and other teams.
- Accurately follow graphic treatment guidelines, technical constraints, and craftsmanship requirements, then implement requested edits and corrections.
- Prepare files for each project stage, from brief to delivery (print, engraving, specific crafts), ensuring technical quality (resolution, formats) and respecting deadlines.
- Create presentation documents, visual supports, and project reports.
- Manage the complete project lifecycle from initiation to delivery, ensuring deadlines and validations by Graphic Designers are met.
- Participate in weekly exchanges with development teams.
- Guarantee the sharing and archiving of elements and files per internal procedures and contribute to streamlining the Studio’s archives and tools.
- Inform the Director of the Graphic Creation Studio and the Graphic Designers of ongoing creation stages, proactively anticipate issues, and propose solutions.
- Utilize and master internal resources, conducting research within the existing Hermès drawing Heritage.
- Maintain awareness of drawing Management and Heritage principles for any legal questions related to the use of specific drawings.
What We're Looking For
- A Master's degree (bac+5) in Applied Arts, specialized in Graphic or Textile Design.
- Perfect mastery of graphic software, primarily Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Sensitivity to product, craftsmanship, and materials, especially leather and leather goods. Strong sense of drawing, composition, and color.
- Rigor and precision in following instructions, responsiveness to requests and feedback, respect for project timelines and validation processes, extreme attention to detail.
- Autonomy in executing technical tasks.
- Relational skills including active listening and clear, effective communication with project managers and stakeholders.
