The John Glenn College of Public Affairs at The Ohio State University is hiring a Grants & Contracts Management Analyst to join the College of Medicine Grants Management Office. You will assist in managing pre- and post-award activities for assigned principal investigators, ensuring adherence to sponsor guidelines and university procedures.
What You'll Do
- Work closely with senior team members, identifying and reporting noncompliance with sponsor guidelines for effort requirements and allowable expenditures.
- Update principal investigator current and pending other support documentation within defined timeframes using university systems.
- Assist with the completion of annual progress reports.
- Participate in pre- and post-grant award activities after training.
- For pre-award, assist with proposal creation, coordinate with internal staff, locate materials, format documents, draft budgets, and meet deadlines.
- For post-award, compile statistical and financial data, review expenses for budget compliance, initiate cost transfers, and prepare projects for close-out.
- Attend necessary training and perform additional duties as required.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of relevant grant or contract management experience.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, including creating formulas and recognizing errors.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize tasks under deadline pressure.
- Solid communication skills and ability to clearly explain status, concerns, and solutions to customers.
Nice to Have
- Certified Research Administrator or Certified Financial Research Administrator certification.
