As the Grants and Agreements Manager at the International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA), you will be responsible for the full lifecycle of securing and managing grant funding to support our mission. This remote role researches funding opportunities, crafts compelling proposals, and ensures compliance and reporting for funding that directly impacts mountain biking advocacy and trail projects.
What You'll Do
- Lead grant and agreement proposal development and submission, preparing and organizing all necessary materials.
- Collaborate with IMBA Leadership to identify funding needs and priority initiatives.
- Research new grant and agreement opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Draft proposals, grant application narratives, and budgets in collaboration with project teams.
- Submit applications via paper or online portals and maintain a master calendar of grants and prospects.
- Manage a library of grant support documents, facilitate contracts, and ensure acknowledgment of funding sources.
- Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and budget tracking.
- Monitor reporting schedules, draft progress reports, and assemble supporting materials.
- Request reimbursements and drawdowns as needed.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ensure auditable systems are in place.
- Collaborate closely with Trail Solutions Directors and project teams to align efforts and ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Attend required organizational and departmental meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Three to eight years of professional experience in grant writing, nonprofit administration, project management, fundraising, or related fields.
- Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills, superior editing skills, and the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Strong administrative skills and self-motivation with the ability to set priorities and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
- Intermediate to expert skills in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word) and digital collaboration tools.
- Strong project management experience and the ability to balance multiple priorities and timelines.
- A highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable professional comfortable in a collaborative remote team environment.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nonprofit administration, grant writing, development, project management, or a similar field.
- Experience with donor development/CRM software systems.
- Familiarity and experience working with Federal Challenge Cost Share or Assistance Agreements.
- Experience or interest in mountain biking, outdoor recreation, or trail development.

You will be part of the IMBA Trail Solutions team. You'll collaborate closely with IMBA Leadership, project teams, Trail Solutions Directors, and the IMBA MarCom Team.
