Amgen is looking for a Grad Intern to join our Oncology Business Unit Marketing team for Summer 2026. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to executive decision-making, strategic planning, and cross-functional collaboration within a commercial biotech organization. You will support real business initiatives and develop foundational knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry.
What You'll Do
- Shadow the GM and Chief of Staff for the Oncology Business Unit to gain exposure to executive decision-making, strategic planning, and leadership team meetings.
- Engage with the U.S. Oncology Leadership Team, U.S. Business Operations leadership, and cross-functional partners across Marketing, Sales, Value & Access, Medical, Commercial Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, and R&D.
- Develop a foundational understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, including the end-to-end lifecycle of a medicine.
- Support real business initiatives and strategic projects aligned to Oncology priorities, contributing analysis, insights, and recommendations.
- Participate in brand planning, commercial strategy, and execution discussions.
- Observe and learn how data and analytics inform business decisions, including market insights, performance tracking, and forecasting.
- Build executive-ready communication skills by synthesizing complex information and developing presentation materials.

What We're Looking For
- You are 18 years or older.
- You have graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- You are currently enrolled in an MBA program for an MBA internship, a Master’s program for a Master’s internship, a PharmD program for a PharmD internship, or a Ph.D. program for a PhD internship from an accredited college or university and will have completed the first year of your program before the internship starts.
- You will be enrolled in an accredited college or university following the potential internship assignment.
- You must not be employed at the time the internship starts.
- You must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
Nice to Have
- Degree concentration or coursework in business, marketing, economics, life sciences, engineering, data analytics, public health, or a related field.
- Demonstrated interest in healthcare, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences through coursework, internships, student organizations, or research experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and presentation skills, with comfort working in PowerPoint and Excel.
- Ability to synthesize complex information and communicate insights clearly to diverse audiences, including senior leaders.
- Professional maturity, discretion, and curiosity, with the confidence to ask thoughtful questions and the judgment to listen first.
