MyFlorida's Department of Management Services is hiring a Government Operations Consultant III for the Agency for Health Care Administration. You will join the Bureau of Medicaid Policy, where your core responsibility is to research, develop, implement, and evaluate policies that enhance the delivery of health care services under the Florida Medicaid program.
What You'll Do
- Maintain expertise on all aspects of the Florida Medicaid program, including federal regulations, state statutes, administrative rules, and the State Plan.
- Stay informed on health care industry trends, Medicare policies, and national Medicaid research to guide policy development.
- Remain knowledgeable about Medicaid fiscal agent operations, including claims processing, billing, reimbursement, and provider enrollment.
- Conduct comprehensive research on assigned topics by reviewing peer-reviewed articles, laws, evidence sources, and vendor contracts.
- Analyze health care and program information to determine effects on Florida Medicaid and ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Develop programmatic and fiscal impact statements based on proposed federal or state policy changes.
- Consult with internal staff to identify areas for program improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports of research findings, synthesizing complex information into useful formats.
- Develop legislative budget requests, program proposals, and grant proposals.

- Biweekly Salary: $1,945.56 - $2,529.23
