About the Role

Keller Executive Search is hiring a Government Affairs Operations Leader to lead lobbying and government relations for a legal and lobbying firm. In this role, you will manage and coordinate teams of lobbyists and attorneys engaged in state and federal advocacy campaigns.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee and coordinate the efforts of lobbyists and attorneys on both state and federal initiatives
  • Direct the planning, implementation, and assessment of advocacy campaigns
  • Facilitate regular team meetings and foster collaboration across departments
  • Generate and deliver weekly reports and updates to executive leadership
  • Act as the main point of contact for major project challenges and ensure prompt resolution
  • Track project schedules, deliverables, and resource management
  • Occasionally travel within the country to enhance team operations and client interactions
  • Cultivate strong client relationships through consistent communication
  • Create and execute operational processes to boost efficiency and effectiveness

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in business, political science, public administration, or a related field
  • Over 7 years of experience in operations management, ideally within lobbying, government affairs, or public policy
  • Familiarity with legislative and regulatory processes at both state and federal levels
  • Awareness of compliance requirements pertinent to lobbying activities
  • Experience in leading remote teams
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams and overseeing complex projects
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • Strong leadership skills with a background in managing professionals
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in project management tools and reporting systems
  • Capability to prioritize tasks and make decisions in a dynamic environment

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree (MBA, JD, or MPA)
  • Prior experience in a consulting or professional services firm

Benefits & Compensation

  • Compensation: $250,000 - $300,000

Work Mode

This position operates on a hybrid work model.
