About the Role

GE HealthCare is looking for a Government Contracts Property Generalist to apply Lean principles and ensure compliance with all applicable Government Property (GP) regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and company policies. You will provide functional support throughout the lifecycle of government contracts, from pre-award to final property closeout, driving compliant and timely execution.

What You'll Do

  • Act as a change agent for business processes related to Government Property (GP) management at subcontractor and affiliate sites.
  • Assist with managing the GP subcontractor and affiliate risk assessment and surveillance audit process.
  • Ensure compliance with GP Management System requirements across acquisition, receiving, records, inventory, subcontractor control, reporting, and contract closeout.
  • Support the GP Organization in responding to DCMA property management system audits (PMSA) and performing internal contractor self-assessments (CSA).
  • Assist in corrective action processes, including root cause investigations and corrective action plan development.
  • Support the Sourcing Compliance team in conducting limited desktop surveys and audits.
  • Maintain effective working relationships and communications with GP leadership, internal peers, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in reviewing and updating GP processes to ensure efficiency and compliance.
  • Uphold the highest standards of personal integrity and foster a compliance-oriented and customer service mindset.
  • Travel up to 15% as required.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sourcing, government contracts, government property management, asset management, quality, program/project management, or a related field within manufacturing, industrial, or supply chain environments.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of US Government Procurement or Property regulations or demonstrated aptitude to learn these requirements.
  • Experience in the Aerospace & Defense industry and familiarity with US Government contracts.
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing operations and contracting/program management organizations, including interrelated support systems such as Planning, Engineering, Quality, Inventory Management, Logistics, and Shipping/Receiving.
  • Working knowledge or aptitude to learn Sourcing processes, including acquisition and receiving processes for GP, including materials and tooling.
  • Working knowledge or aptitude to learn and apply Lean principles, including standard work and process improvements.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve operational/process issues and work across organizational boundaries.
  • Demonstrated ability to support multiple short- and long-term projects in matrixed operational environments (e.g., supply chain, engineering).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, for interfacing with government representatives, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and aptitude to learn other software programs such as IMPACT, Oracle, Clarity, Spotfire.
  • National Property Management Association (NPMA) certifications such as CPPS, CPPA, or CPPM are valued.
