JOB DESCRIPTION Position Summary: Reporting to the Global Trade Center Director, the Analyst's core responsibility involves determining Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) classifications for various product types. The role encompasses identifying product classifications, establishing country of origin, and collaborating with Segment Engineering and interdepartmental teams to ensure precise product categorization before production. The Analyst will be integral to the Global Trade Data Center of Expertise, working closely with Trade Data Management professionals and internal stakeholders to provide comprehensive training and systematic reviews. Major responsibilities include: - Collaborate with Segment Engineering teams to identify and classify new or modified products - Offer guidance regarding tariff implications for production strategies - Partner with Segment Sourcing teams to determine HTS classifications for suppliers - Maintain updated information in relevant management and enterprise systems - Evaluate Bill of Materials for Free Trade Agreement eligibility - Ensure accurate maintenance of USMCA, FTA, and Country of Origin data in customs systems - Determine HTS classifications for components, materials, chemicals, spare parts, and finished goods - Support HTS classification of machinery, equipment, and tooling - Execute additional supervisor-assigned tasks - Comply with established organizational protocols - Track and document performance metrics Required Education / Experience / Skills: The Analyst must possess: - 1-2 years experience in trade-related topics - Engineering background acceptable - Trade Compliance expertise in Harmonized Tariff Classification, U.S. Customs Regulations - Comprehensive understanding of HTS Classification processes - Clear comprehension of Free Trade Agreement qualification procedures - Strong interpersonal and communication capabilities - Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish - Exceptional organizational skills with deadline management capabilities - Outstanding multi-tasking abilities - Self-motivated with minimal supervision requirements - Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel Travel: 20% potential travel Languages: English Desired Qualifications: The following would enhance performance: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred - Trade Compliance background - Experience with SAP, Oracle, Trade Automation platforms - Degree in International Trade or Logistics - Expertise in drafting ruling requests and decisions - Proven track record of process improvement - Skilled in collaborative problem-solving About Regal Rexnord: Regal Rexnord is a global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 worldwide associates developing sustainable motion-based solutions.
