The Barack Obama Foundation is seeking a Global Programs Associate for the Obama Leadership Network. This role is integral to implementing a program that supports a global community of leaders, focusing on designing and managing online community engagement and virtual events to foster connection and collaboration.
What You'll Do
- Manage alumni online community engagement on the Hivebrite platform, including onboarding, troubleshooting, and posting regular content to stimulate member interaction.
- Lead program strategy and operations for all virtual events, handling session design, scheduling, technology setup, and liaising with external speakers.
- Develop structured engagement approaches, tools, and incentives to help Network members connect with each other and the Foundation team.
- Maintain a comprehensive view of Network membership to support evaluation and sourcing for alumni opportunities.
- Play a lead role in executing periodic in-person events that convene global Network leaders to build relationships and collaborative projects.
- Manage program operations for travel, communications, scheduling, technology, and coordination with external speakers and facilitators.
- Contribute to event and program design, facilitate on-site activities, and serve as a liaison to participants, especially for alumni engagement at the new Obama Presidential Center.
- Design and implement an editorial calendar for regular communications to engage Network members.
- Create communications materials for various stakeholders, including funders, the board, and the Marketing and Communications team.
- Support the development of systems and storytelling content to capture quantitative data and impact stories.
- Apply organizational and project management skills to streamline processes across event logistics, forms, contracts, and occasional invoicing.
- Help maintain the global alumni network database, including the annual onboarding of hundreds of new members and tracking member requests.
- Provide strategic input and administrative support for DMEL (design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning) activities and analyze online user engagement trends.
What We're Looking For
- 3 years of experience leading or supporting social impact or leadership programs, particularly with global members and diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience developing content for stakeholder engagement and leading high-level in-person and online events with multiple partners.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to foster trusting relationships with program participants from all backgrounds.
- A detail-oriented process-thinker with skills in project management, budget, contract, and relationship management for a growing global network.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $59,755 - $74,670
