Global HRIS System Lead

Role Overview

This position is responsible for the end-to-end leadership of BambooHR as the organization’s core HR information system across global operations, including the US, APAC, EU, Africa, and LATAM. You will ensure the platform is configured to support efficient HR processes, accurate reporting, and compliance with regional regulations. The role requires close collaboration with HR, Payroll, IT, Finance, and external partners to maintain a secure, scalable, and user-friendly system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the central authority for BambooHR, overseeing configuration, governance, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and maintain global standards for HR data structure, system usage, and process consistency
  • Produce and update system documentation, user guides, and standard operating procedures
  • Configure and manage core modules such as employee records, onboarding, time-off tracking, performance management, and reporting
  • Translate business and HR requirements into effective, scalable system configurations
  • Coordinate system updates, feature rollouts, testing, and deployment cycles
  • Identify automation opportunities to streamline HR workflows and reduce manual effort
  • Manage integrations between BambooHR and external systems including payroll, benefits, applicant tracking, and finance platforms
  • Support recruitment teams with ATS-related needs and system access
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all regions
  • Lead data governance initiatives, including validation, audits, and compliance checks
  • Design and maintain HR dashboards and standardized reports for leadership and operational use
  • Ensure adherence to data privacy laws such as GDPR and local labor regulations
  • Support internal and external audit processes and fulfill ad hoc reporting requests
  • Lead HRIS initiatives related to new country entries, acquisitions, and system enhancements
  • Serve as the main liaison with BambooHR and integration vendors
  • Develop and maintain training materials and provide guidance to regional HRIS administrators

Qualifications

Applicants should have at least four years of experience in HRIS roles with direct system administration responsibilities. Experience supporting globally distributed teams is essential. A solid grasp of core HR functions and lifecycle management is required, along with proven ability to manage integrations and third-party vendors.

Preferred Background

  • Degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related discipline
  • Two or more years of hands-on experience with BambooHR in a multinational setting
  • Experience scaling HRIS platforms in fast-growing or complex global organizations
  • Familiarity with international payroll and benefits system integrations

Technology Environment

The role operates within a tech stack centered on BambooHR, with integrations to payroll platforms, benefits providers, applicant tracking systems, finance tools, and third-party APIs.

Work Arrangement

This role supports a hybrid model, with team members located in the Philippines, Ukraine, Uganda, and Mexico. Work can be conducted remotely or on-site, depending on local arrangements.
