As a General Helper at a remote camp in Jenpeg, Manitoba, you will support daily kitchen functions and help maintain clean, sanitary common areas. Your responsibilities include washing dishes, sanitizing workspaces, and cleaning kitchen equipment such as ovens and refrigerators. You’ll also assist with floor maintenance, table cleaning, and periodic deep cleaning tasks to meet health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, cookware, and kitchen utensils after meals
- Clean and maintain kitchen surfaces, floors, dining tables, and appliances
- Restock and rotate food items including desserts, sandwiches, drinks, and condiments
- Support inventory handling by assisting with loading, unloading, and organizing supplies
- Help prepare grab-and-go meal components as needed
- Follow established protocols to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sanitation guidelines
