What You'll Do
Oversee a team responsible for financial reporting and general accounting functions, ensuring precision and adherence to international and local accounting standards. Guide team members through performance management, coaching, and professional growth initiatives.
Ensure all accounting processes follow established policies and regulatory requirements, including IFRS and local GAAP. Lead the preparation of financial records, journal entries, reconciliations, and internal and external financial statements with a focus on transparency and correctness.
Drive improvements in workflows and accounting practices by identifying inefficiencies and collaborating with global process owners. Maintain up-to-date documentation and support the implementation of standardized controls across operations.
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor’s degree, ideally in accounting or a related business field
- Have at least six years of experience in general accounting within multi-entity, multi-state environments
- Demonstrate proficiency with SAP S/4HANA’s FI-CO module and foundational knowledge of Tagetik for financial reporting
- Show strong command of English and effective communication skills
- Display experience managing teams, including staffing, onboarding, and performance evaluation
- Ensure compliance with statutory and group-level accounting policies
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Working knowledge of Portuguese
