OnlyExperts is seeking a General Accountant to manage financial operations as a key member of our small finance team. You will be a generalist covering various accounting functions, with a primary focus on owning the customer invoicing process through Ordway. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with Dutch VAT regulations, and support the company's growth.
What You'll Do
- Manage the end-to-end customer invoicing process using Ordway.
- Address customer queries related to their invoices.
- Lead customer credit collection efforts.
- Perform regular bank reconciliations in Xero.
- Process supplier bills and prepare payment batches.
- Prepare manual journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Collaborate with an external firm to prepare and file Dutch VAT reports.
- Support the preparation of established and ad-hoc financial analysis and reports.
- Assist with the annual budgeting cycle.
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and other departments.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of experience in general accounting, preferably in an SME environment.
- Proficiency with Xero accounting software.
- Solid understanding of Dutch VAT regulations and reporting.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams like Sales and Customer Success.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership in a small finance function.
- Quick learner with a proactive and positive attitude.
- Comfortable performing a variety of tasks, from senior-level reporting to more junior-level duties.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Ordway for customer invoicing.
- Excellent communication skills in both English and Dutch.

Team & Environment
You will join a dynamic team of around 45 employees as part of a small finance function, reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
