M&T Bank is seeking a GCM Transaction Management Leader II to serve in a leadership role responsible for managing Transaction Managers and deal volume. This position within Manufacturers and Traders Trust Co is critical for developing procedures for the transaction management model and Structured Finance product expansion.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines for the transaction management model and Structured Finance product expansion.
- Work with all support and operational groups to develop document standards suitable to Wilmington Trust.
- Serve as a market presence by attending conferences, assisting sales with client meetings, and facilitating calls and presentations with rating agencies.
- Assist Sales with business development initiatives and coordinate deal structures depending on asset types.
- Serve as internal liaison for all support groups surrounding the Structured Finance Product Expansion.
- Attend to escalated client issues and ensure they are prioritized appropriately.
- Determine appropriate counsel for deals and contracts.
- Provide back-up support for Transaction Managers as required by business travel and vacation.
- May manage a team of Transaction Managers or Transaction Management Leaders for a specific asset type or business line.
- Exercise usual authority of a manager concerning staffing, performance appraisals, promotions, salary recommendations, performance management, and terminations.
- Understand and adhere to the Company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.
- Design, implement, maintain and enhance internal controls to mitigate risk.
- Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports belonging and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of audit points.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years’ related experience.
- In lieu of a degree, a combined minimum of 11 year’s higher education and/or work experience, including a minimum of 7 years’ related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years’ managerial experience.
- Proven experience negotiating legal contracts.
Nice to Have
- MBA (Master’s degree in Business Administration) or JD (Juris Doctor).
- Minimum of 10 years’ related experience.
- Strong legal background.

This is a leadership position responsible for managing Transaction Managers and deal volume.
Benefits & Compensation
- Compensation range: $153,700.00 - $256,100.00 Annual (USD).
