Movement is hiring a Gateway Instructor to join our community. This role is for a passionate, motivated individual who loves working with youth, providing an excellent customer experience, and has a desire to grow in the climbing community. You will be responsible for top rope belaying, facilitating games and activities, and managing risks during our various youth programs.
What You'll Do
- Provide a supervised and controlled environment during all our youth and other programs.
- Communicate effectively with clients of all ages and abilities while demonstrating empathy and compassion.
- Provide excellent customer service for all guests by seeking answers and solutions for customer questions.
- Teach climbing skills from provided curriculums and create inclusive spaces that foster a sense of belonging.
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with co-workers and supervisors about feedback and concerns.
- Speak openly and honestly; ask for help when needed and look to learn from mistakes.
- Develop skills to effectively communicate with others and listen to other perspectives to build partnerships.
What We're Looking For

- Ability to work 6-10 hours per week primarily on weekday afternoons and/or weekends.
- Ability to work a complete Summer Camp or After School Program. Summer Camps are typically Monday–Friday and After School programs run for 6 consecutive weeks on the same day.
