Heartstrings Pet Hospice is looking for a Full Time Veterinarian to provide compassionate, in-home end-of-life care for pets in the Greater Houston area. Our mission is to support pets and their families during one of life’s most challenging moments, ensuring a peaceful passing in the comfort of home. You will be a trusted guide for families and build meaningful connections with local veterinary clinics as an extension of their care.
What You'll Do
- Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets.
- Guide families in making informed, compassionate end-of-life decisions for their pets.
- Build and maintain relationships with local veterinary clinics to serve as an extension of their care.
What We're Looking For
- A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree.
- 1+ year of experience as a practicing veterinarian.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and comfort with prolonged periods of driving.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted.
- Capability to perform physical tasks consistently, including walking, kneeling, bending, crouching, crawling, stooping, standing, and reaching.
- Demonstrated manual dexterity, fine motor skills, and steady hands while using medical tools.

Work Mode
This is a local position serving clients in Greater Houston, TX and the surrounding area. The role involves extensive travel within the region to provide in-home services.
