DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC) is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer proficient in Ruby on Rails and React. This role offers significant influence over application architecture, code quality, and development direction within a compact, seasoned team where technical decisions are made close to the code.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications
- Work with Ruby on Rails for backend and React / JavaScript for frontend development
- Independently deliver complex tickets, including features, bug fixes, and refactoring
- Take ownership of selected components and system areas
- Ensure high code quality through automated tests (RSpec) and code reviews
- Collaborate with Product Managers and the Customer Success team
- Mentor junior developers and support onboarding
- Participate in 2nd level support on a rotational basis
What We're Looking For
- 3–5 years minimum of commercial experience as a Full Stack Developer
- Very good knowledge of Ruby on Rails and React
- Experience working with SQL / PostgreSQL
- Comfortable working with Git
- Ability to independently solve problems and make technical decisions
- Experience with code reviews and maintaining high code quality
- Proactive attitude and strong team communication skills
- Knowledge of English and German sufficient for day-to-day collaboration (B2/C1 level)
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of GraphQL, Redis, Sidekiq
- Experience with CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions)
- Background in e-commerce, Shopify, or SaaS
