Welocalize is hiring a freelance French Culture and Language Expert to join its Welo Data division. In this role, you will apply your deep cultural and linguistic knowledge to a range of AI Services projects, ensuring high-quality and culturally relevant outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Provide expert consultation on French language, culture, and regional nuances for AI Services development
- Analyze and evaluate AI-generated content for linguistic accuracy and cultural appropriateness
- Collaborate with project teams to define and refine cultural parameters for AI models
- Contribute to the quality assurance of language data and training materials
What We're Looking For
- Native or near-native proficiency in French, with expert knowledge of its grammar, idioms, and usage
- Deep, lived-in understanding of French culture, social norms, and regional differences
- Experience applying cultural and linguistic knowledge in a professional or academic context
- Ability to articulate cultural concepts and provide clear, actionable feedback
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
